Apex provided us with the opportunity for our three generation trek. My husband and I, my son and partner and my two grandchildren were met in Kathmandu by the company and from there we were treated to many sites, meals and a trek for 6 days starting from Pokhara. The first 4 days touring Kathmandu helped us to become acclimatized. Our exceptionally trained guide was awesome as were the three porters who carried our 20-30 KG bag throughout the whole 6 days. The attention to details was far above our expectation. Their attention to our safety was exemplary both before and during the trek. Many surprises were added such as a cooking course on MOMOs (dumplings), guided tour of the market, introduction to Nepalese foods, narration of the history of Nepal and a delightful shopping trip. The Apex team provided us with a 5-star trip and trek in Nepal. I have no hesitation in recommending this tour group.

My husband and I are in our mid-60’s and wanted a trekking experience in Nepal but had some limitations in our ability to do a “major” trek. Apex Himalaya not only listened to our concerns but created a perfect trekking experience for us. Two brothers, Bikram and Bimal run the company. Bimal responded quickly to our emails when we were planning our trip. He made excellent suggestions and modified our trip based on our response. He was able to arrange airport pick up as well as private car from Nagarkot to Pokhara for our next trek. Because of all his input and focus on every detail, our treks went off without a hitch. We took a 6-day trek on the Anapurna loop. We were a three-generational group ranging from 7 to 76 years. Our guide Bikram and three porters made the entire adventure exciting for all of us on and off the trail. The children were completely entertained by Bikram while the porters were attentive to the old folks ensuring that stumbles did not become falls. Bikram is very personable and kept everyone up-to-date on each day’s expectations in terms of challenge, weather, and accommodation. The guide and porters ensured we were cared for at the tea houses and even assisted in the preparation of our meals. Our fitness was assessed by observation and by using an oxygen blood-saturation device at one point (all was well). The accommodations were well selected to provide excellent views of the surrounding mountains. This group was very experienced, well equipped, and provided wonderful support throughout the entire trek. Our observation is that other groups on the trek were not as well provided for as we were. There was on-going communication between the guide and porters on the trail (one at the front and two back) to ensure that the entire party was doing well and to assist if required. We would not hesitate to recommend Apex Himalaya Treks to others and are contemplating another (more challenging) trek with them in another part of Nepal. They provide their expertise for a wide variety of challenges. Definitely contact them if you are contemplating a trek in Nepal.

This is the second time in two years I’ve collaborated with Apex. This second time we organised a personal development retreat while doing the trekking. The combination of the mountains and the personal insights was beautiful. And it was only because of the great collaboration with Apex that we were able to make it happen. Bimal was diligent, kind and accommodating in planning and organising everything beforehand. We felt the excitement for the trekking through his explanation, and he really took the time to make sure the trekking fit our needs. Bikram was our guide again for a second time, and we couldn’t wish for anyone better. He is experienced, skilled, responsible and always has his eye out to make sure everyone is fine and supports the ones who are struggling more. At the same time he is humorous, and just an overall caring, genuine and good hearted person. Both Bimal and Bikram have become great friends of us in both these collaborations, and I cannot recommend them more highly.
