Yala Peak 5500m is located in the beautiful Langtang Valley. The Peak is considered as one of the easiest trekking peaks in Nepal. Less technical and straightforward, Yala Peak Climbing is a perfect opportunity for beginner climbers to gain peak climbing experience. From the summit, stunning views of popular mountain Shishapangma 8046m, Langtang Lirung 7245m, Dorje Lakpa 6990m, Naya Kanga Peak 5844m, Gangchempo 6,387m and many other snow capped peaks can be seen. Yala Peak Climbing is starts with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dunche – the starting point of our trek. We begin our trek from here passing through the dense forest of Rhododendron, Oaks, and Pines forest towards Kyangjin Gompa. After spending a day for acclimatization at Kyangjin Gompa our trail heads to Yala Base Camp. Once at the Basecamp, we quickly set up our camp and make necessary preparation for the climbing of the summit. Properly acclimatized and fully equipped we follow the trail led by our experienced climbing experts towards the summit of Yala Peak. Once on the top, we are rewarded with the stunning views of towering mountains within Langtang Valley including Langtang Lirung 7245m, Dorje Lakpa 6990m, Pemthang Karpo 6830m, Gangchenpo 6387m and across the border in Tibet rises the huge mass of Shishapangma 8046m. After achieving the summit we make a return journey back to Base Camp. From Base Camp, we descend all the down to Syabrubesi. The adventurous experience at Yala Peak Climbing with Nepal Guide Treks ends with a scenic drive from Syabrubesi back to Kathmandu.

Day 03: Trek to Langtang Village (3430 m/ 11253 ft), 6 hours. (Religious day and local life style)

Day 04: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3798m / 12154 ft) , 3 hours. (Religious Day, local lifestyle, and beautiful landscape)

Day 05: Rest/Acclimatization Day at Kyangjin Gompa. Hike to Kyanjin Ri (4773m / 15655 ft) & back to Kyangjin Gompa.

Day 06: Rest Day Kyanji Gompa

Day 07: Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Yala Base Camp [4600m/15088ft] [5-6 hrs Trek]

Day 08: Summit Yala Peak [5500m/18040ft] and back to Kyanjin Gomba [7-8 hrs)

Itineraries

Day 01

Drive to SybruBensi (1462m /4796ft) by jeep, [7 hours drive]

From Kathmandu, we take seven- eight hour drive to SyabruBesi. Daily jeep/buses leaves in the morning for SyabruBesi. In general your vehicle leave at 7:30 am in the morning. So our guide will come to pick-up at your hotel at 6:30 am and then drive to jeep/bus station. Drive from Kathmandu for 3 hours is through paved road and onward, it is off road through mountain area. After driving for 3 hours we reach Syabrubensi which is surrounded by high hills and rich with its traditions. Overnight at guesthouse. Includes:Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation, Transportation

Day 02

Trek to Lama Hotel (2500m /8000 ft) , [6 hours].

After breakfast, your trek ascends gently to Bamboo (1970m /6463ft)and have lunch on the side of Langtang river and waterfall. After lunch your trek ascend to Rimche though the forest for 1 hour where if you are lucky then you could see Red panda, Monkey and Bear. After Rimche, trail is level to the Lama Hotel. Overnight at guesthouse. Includes: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation

Day 03

Trek to Langtang Village (3430 m/ 11253 ft), 6 hours. (Religious day and local life style)

From Lama Hotel, we continue gently ascending above the Langtang Khola. As the trail progresses, it becomes steeper. From time and again we can have the most exotic sights of Langtang Lirung lying at 7246 meter. The trail leads to a log bridge and on climbing further, we come across lush meadows of Ghora Tabela at 2992m. We will see several lodges and a police check post. Further on, the route opens up into a wide valley of yak pastures and scattered Tamang villages showcasing water-driven mills and prayer wheels. On descending for a while, we arrive at Langtang village which was totally destroy by avalanche during 2015 earth quake. Now Langtang people have rebuild tea-house in a very safe place where very old Langtang village was situated. • Waterfall on east will be our acclimatization and exploration walk which is situated around 200 meter above Langtang village. • From Langtang village everyday onward we will do acclimatization to adjust with the high altitude. “Walk high and sleep low”. • “ Mountain is about ATTITUDE not about ALTITUDE”, so stay warm, drink more fluid, stay positive and happy enjoying the beauty around. Day 04

Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3798m / 12154 ft) , 3 hours. (Religious Day, local lifestyle, and beautiful landscape)

The trail gradually through rich yak pastures and interesting traditional villages of Mundu to Singdum. We cross a wooden cantilever bridge and reach a wide valley after climbing a moraine. Finally, on ascending along the mountain passes we arrive at Kyagjin Gompa. There is a small monastery and a government-operated cheese factory. Overnight at guesthouse. Includes: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation

Day 05

Rest/Acclimatization Day at Kyangjin Gompa. Hike to Kyanjin Ri (4773m / 15655 ft) & back to Kyangjin Gompa.

Kyanjin Ri is a small hill by Himalayan standards that sits just to the north east of Kyanjin Gumba (3830m). It’s well worth the 3 to 5 hours it will take to get to the summit to see the fantastic views of the upper Langtang Valley and surrounding peaks and glaciers. Day 06

Rest Day Kyanji Gompa

Acclimatization is very crucial in higher altitudes. Today we will spend our day for acclimatization and making exploration around Kyangjin Gompa. Includes: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation

Day 07

Day 07: Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Yala Base Camp [4600m/15088ft] [5-6 hrs Trek]

We will continue to follow the trail that goes over the glacier and ascends gradually all the way to the base camp. During our trek we will have great views of Yala Peak, Langtang Lirung and other surrounding high peaks. Once we reach the base camp, we will quickly set up our camps and make necessary checks on our health status and climbing gears for successful Yala Peak Climbing. Includes: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Tented accommodation

Day 08

Summit Yala Peak [5500m/18040ft] and back to Kyanjin Gomba [7-8 hrs Climb]

Today is the day for actually achieving the target summit of Yala Peak. Fully acclimatized and properly equipped we will make an early start, as strong winds after noon can create obstacles making it impossible to climb. Following the footsteps and guidance of our experienced climbing experts we head to the summit of Yala Peak. Once at the top we are rewarded with breathtaking views of Shishapangma, Dorje Lakpa, Langtang Lirung, Ganchenpo, Naya Kanga Peak and several snow topped high mountains. We will spend some quality time at the summit before following the same trail as for the return journey that heads back to the Kyanjin Gomba. Includes: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation

Day 09

Trek to Langtang village

Today we will be acceding our altitude from kyanjin gumba also the time of saying good to beautiful place kyanjin gumba. We all had nice adventurous up there. Includes: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation

Day 10

Trek to Lama Hotel [5-6 hrs Trek]

Leaving Langtang village and Kyanjin Gomba, we will continue to retrace our steps on the main trail towards Ghoratabela and from there an easy downhill walk through the dense forest filled with oaks, birch, and hemlock and Himalayan bamboos to reach Lama Hotel. Includes: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation

Day 11

Trek to Syabrubesi (2,230m/7316ft), [4 hours]

From Lama Hotel, we will continue to trek on the main trail that descends all the way down to reach Syabrubesi. Today is the final day of our trek with rather easy downward trekking that passes along several traditional villages and terraced farmlands, through dense forest filled with rhododendron, oak and pine trees. Includes: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Accommodation

Day 12

Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu [7-8 hrs Drive]

We will drive from Syabrubesi along zigzag hilly roads back to Kathmandu. During our drive journey we will have opportunity to witness daily activities of local people for survival while we drive along several villages and towns. Includes: Breakfast, Lunch, Transportation

02. Transportations
– Domestic bus station picks up & drops by private vehicle
– Kathmandu to Syabrubesi both way in shared Vehicle.
03. Accommodations
– Clean tea-house accommodation during the whole trek.
– Accommodation during whole trek will be in clean tea-houses, twin-share room’s beds with normal foam mattress and pillows included but shared bathroom and toilet.
– Tented accommodation during the climbing period
– All the necessary accommodations for Nepali staffs
04. Staffs

– One government license holder English speaking Guide and his food, accommodations, salary, insurance, equipment, medicine and transportations.

– One Porter and his accommodation, transportation and salary (A porter will carry max load 20-25 kg). Water proof duffle will be provided for you to put your luggage from us.
– Professional climbing guide for Yala Peak and his food, accommodations, salary, insurance, equipment, medicine and transportations.
05. Permits and official arrangement

– Trekker’s information management system (TIMS) card fees.
– Langtang National Park entry fee.
– Insurance for all the Nepali trekking and climbing team.
– All our government taxes, VAT and official expenses.
06. Equipment
– Water proof duffle bag of 80 liter for your trekking equipment (which meant to be carried by porters)
– Climbing equipment (Helmet, Harness, Climbing boots, Crampons, Carabiners, safety ropes, Ascender, Descender etc.)
07. Kitchen equipment for the camping period

01. Accommodation in Kathmandu.
