Drive to Barbal and GRE village by jeep, 7 hour drive and 3 hour hike [4.5 km distance]
From Kathmandu, we take seven hour drive to Barbal. Daily jeep in the morning leave for Barbal. After barbal we cross Langtang Khola and then hike toward GRE. This is a small village in Langtang region, called Gre. Not many people probably heard of it. It's out of the way, near the major trekking route of Langtang, but not on it. Simply by virtue of geography and circumstance, it's been largely forgotten, left behind by the ticking of time and opportunity. Most of Gre was sadly levelled in the 2015 earthquake. Unlike many places in Nepal, though, Gre just began rebuilding a year and a half ago, a village left behind once more due to location and inequality of reconstruction funding, and more. Enjoy your first day of trek in a homestay with a family of Nima Tamang. Overnight at community home stay. Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Transportation, AccommodationDay 04
