Around Kathmandu valley mountain biking tour is short ride around the Kathmandu Valley takes you out of the city and to some of the best known hill stations on the Kathmandu Rim valley including Kakani, Chisapani and Nagarkot the views of the Himalaya are simply breath-taking. Along route, the tour passes through the beautiful hill stations Kakani, Chisapani and Nagarkot. Beside hill stations you are enjoying the ancient town of Panauti and Dhulikhel and explores the rich rural cultural of the valley with explore the beautiful monastery at Namobuddha. 

DAY 01 :KATHMANDU TO KAKANI – 47km

Starting day of the riding start from thamel and then riding through a traffic to some of the nice downhill trails and some sweet climb around BhimDhungga  (25km)  on the north of the valley through the  village  and we will come out to mudkhu one of the famous place for the local riders to ride in the morning. And we will stop for some cold drinks and tea and we will start riding some nice single track from Mudkhu to tinpiple (5km) on the back trails. From tinpiple its 17km uphill on the seal road all the way to the top of kakani. Where we will stay for overnight with a nice sunset and sunrise view and some of the nice Mountain View.

DAY 02 :KAKANI TO CHISAPANI - 67km

starting the riding with one of the great single track inside theforest which we called scar route (8km).  From there we will ride around 7km on jeep trails. In the next section we have a nice single track trail which   we call ‘30 min of heaven’, a sweeping single track in the Jungle with great turns and descents. And again we will meet the jeep track and climb for a further 3 km before the trail again begins to descend again about 9km of a nice rocky trail, single track and pure jungle scenery to Mulkharka where we stop for lunch. After lunch our ride will follows one of the hard uphill with a nice and calm jeep track of 7 km until we rejoin the main jeep track. We make our last 3km of uphill to Chisapani, a small place with a nice Tea Houses and its the gateway into trekking in Helembu and Langtang. In the morning you will see one of the super views of Himalayas from Gauri Shanka in the east all the way to Annapurna in the west.

DAY 03: CHISAPANI TO NAGARKOT - 35km

Ride start from our lodge all the way jeep track to junction to Nagarkot . When the weather is clear we can see nice Himalayas view while riding bike.  We will continue our riding on damage jeep track for 12 km until we reach an intersection with a nice singletrack and downhill. Riding down to jhule where we stop for the lunch. We can stop here for food and drinks. From Jhule we follow a nice down hill trails to manichaur where we join another jeep track with small seal road and offroad and some downhill and uphill for 7km until we again climb upwards.  At last, the last section of our ride following tough uphill all the way to Nagarkot. Where you can relax and enjoy with some nice view of mountain and village.

DAY 04: Nagarkot to Kathmandu 32km

After splendid sunrise viewing of the Himalaya, mount your bike for the stunning down hill ride to Sanchu, this lovely village nestled in the valley, re join the quite road and continue on your way to Boulda where you will have lunch and visit the stupa. From here it’s a 20min ride through the traffic back to Thamel, or you can be collected by the bus and driven if you do not want to ride.
